Owner Gui Gonzalez, from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul’s capital, brings authentic Brazilian BBQ to Silver Spring. In Rio Grande do Sul, gaucho traditions and churrasco are deeply rooted in the culture, and Gonzalez grew up immersed in these customs. At 14, he and his mother, Gladis Leorato, relocated to the D.C. area, where Gonzalez later turned his passion for gaucho-style cooking into a culinary business.
